Chanting saves mylife!

        Most of us might have experienced and faced with big turbulence in life.  Might felt like the sky was falling down on us. I have those experiences too. Day by day, I lived with an awkward feeling.  But I had to stand up and face it, could  not run away or hide from it.  My mind started to spin with sadness, depressed and angry.  The unstable stage of mind came to disturb me again and again. Every time it came there were  so many mixed up feelings. The old pictures kept haunting me with all the stories that I wanted  to end.  Those terrible good and bad feelings made my stomach upset, head  hurt, heart beating up fast, hard to  breath and feel exhausted. I called this symptoms "The panic attack from stress that haunts myself with sufferings"

       Lately, I started to realize and asked myself.  “Do I really love my life and take care of myself ever?  Seriously. Do you hurt enough?  Why do you let it damage your life?  Do you need more pain?” Well! My inner voice replies back  “This is call suffering, my boss.  You have tasted it.  Do you want to cure it?” “Off course. Yes!  I want to cure it and to get rid of it forever.

     I want the power of taking control of my life back. My mind used to be pure, playful and lovely. Deeply inside I'm crying because I love and miss myself so much.”  If you ever experienced it before, you might understand it by heart.  
Sudden the word of my Great Master...popped up. 

"If you see suffering, then you see the truth of life."  Wow! I'm lucky enough to understand the suffering. But how can I cure it?  The other words popped up  "Chanting is liniment  Meditating is oral medicine" 

“If I want to cure my wound and reset my life again, I must do both chanting and meditation.”  “Umm!! What's the risk? Might be slightly getting numb on my legs, wasting my sad moment or feeling tired to keep catching those monkey mind. All those reasons are meant non-risk! to me.” “Here comes the tough process of  decision making! I promised to myself to win over and bring back my peaceful mind and welcome my true-self back again.” “I know  deeply that...I must  win this time and I will  never lose my track ever again. Is it worth to win?” “YESSSS!!”   





     Let's get started with Chanting "Dhammachak".   Why Dhammachak?  This was  the Buddha’s first teaching. The original word that every Buddha will teach after enlightenment. Since I started to chant and understood the meaning, it helped healing my thought very well. The Mantra meant to live one life in the middle way not taking it too serious or too light (ignore everything) but see the truth of life and wisely choose to live with peaceful mind. 

To be born, be aged, be ill and be dead are causes of suffer. Sadness, awkwardness are suffering. To love  or not to love, separated from what is love, desired but not getting it, are suffering.  Pleasure and greed of wanting or not wanting are suffering.   These are the "4 noble truths", the truth about suffering and unhappiness. Also it gives the process to get away from suffering, so called 

"The Noble Eight fold Path,"which are Right View, Right Aspiration, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration. Just live a life following that path step by step, I feel lucky that I found a compass while I was losing the way. 
The first  time I started chanting, my mind was still worrying, old emotional and haunting stories kept visiting and made me feel like stopping chanting. Trust me, most people felt  the same but we kept the promise to ourselves that we decided to win only. There was no excuse to stop.

     The first week, I chanted 2 round  everyday.  Well! I felt a little calm and was able to stop spinning quicker. Then I kept chanting as my daily routine and did  it everywhere and every time I felt upset. After 3 months, I felt some changing inside. I started to smile from inside, "The me" is coming back.  Well!!  But I'm not that strong yet. To boost up a great result, I continued chanting  1 hour in early morning before working and another hour before bedtime. Within 5 months I could take control over my life better and better. I reached the feeling of peaceful mind, felt the fresh air, and I felt the sunshine. “I'm alive again.” This was a gift to be able feel calm  knowing myself in the present. My creativity started to come back and my energy of passing around good things also were coming along. This was  just some parts of the good results that happened in a short period of self retreat.

I am proud to say that "Chanting saves my life" and I know that it will save yours too. Till now, I still keep chanting everyday together with meditating for both inside and outside healing. In this method of healing, you are your own doctor. Your are the only one who feeds yourself the pills.  It takes only one brave heart and the faith to win over. Keep continuing chanting till you feel the calmness  inside then add up a stronger medicine which is "meditation". The one and only way to stay alive from "The panic attack from stress that haunts ourselves with suffer"
